Shiv Sena (UBT) chief and former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Thursday slammed the BJP for its newly-launched Saugat-e-Modi scheme, stating that they have abandoned Hindutva and resorted to 'satta jihad' (power jihad).

Thackeray criticised the move, and labelling the program as Saugat-e-Satta', accusing the BJP for using the scheme as a gimmick for electoral gains. “Is 'Saugat-e-Satta' only for the Bihar and UP elections, or will it continue beyond that?”
