Ukraine's recent incursion in Russia's Kursk region has taken the world by surprise, with Kyiv claiming it would force Moscow  to consider talks for a ceasefire.

Modi travelled to Russia on July 8 for summit talks with Putin. He expressed his eagerness to strengthen the bilateral partnership and emphasised that stronger India-Russia ties would greatly benefit their citizens. He also highlighted India's commitment to playing a supportive role in regional peace and stability.
