Modi has reiterated that Operation Sindoor is still ongoing, and that the Indian Armed Forces are fully prepared

A day after Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif acknowledged that India’s BrahMos missiles hit critical targets before Pakistan could respond on May 10, Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded the Indian Armed Forces for the success of Operation Sindoor, asserting that the strikes left Pakistan "sleepless."

Speaking at a public event in Kanpur where he launched infrastructure projects worth nearly Rs 50,000 crore, PM Modi hailed the Indian Armed Forces for carrying out deep strikes on terror camps “hundreds of miles inside Pakistan.”

“We entered the terrorist camps and destroyed them deep inside Pakistan. Our Armed Forces showed such courage that the Pakistan Army ended up begging to stop the war", said PM Modi adding that the BrahMos missile strikes had caused “sleepless nights” for the Pakistani military.

The Prime Minister’s remarks came after recent statements made by Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif that Indian missiles, including the BrahMos, struck critical targets within Pakistan during coordinated strikes on May 9 and 10. Speaking from Azerbaijan, Sharif acknowledged that the barrage caught Pakistan’s military off-guard.

Sharif admitted that Indian missiles targeted strategic sites including the Nur Khan Air Base, as well as other critical military installations. He further revealed that Pakistan was preparing a retaliatory strike at the time, but the Indian attack landed first.
