A pet German shepherd died fighting a tiger to protect its owner in Madhya Pradesh’s Satna district. The incident happened on February 26
As per reports, Shivam Badgaiya was with his pet German Shepherd was outside his house in Satna when a tiger strayed from the nearby forest into the village. The tiger attempted to attack Badgaiya, but his loyal dog confronted the big cat and barked loudly.
The tiger initially ignored the barks but soon turned its attention away from the owner and charged at the dog.
The wild animal grabbed the dog in its jaws and carried it outside the village, an India Today report stated.
The pet fiercely fought back. Eventually after a brief struggle, the tiger decided to let go and it returned to the forest.
The dog was rushed to a veterinary doctor, but it died due to its major injuries within a few hours after the fierce attack, the report added.
