Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu on Saturday called upon the world community to come together to isolate nations that sponsor terrorism and impose sanctions against them. Expressing concern over the scourge of terrorism, Naidu appealed to the United Nations (UN) to complete deliberations and adopt India's long-pending proposal of a 'Comprehensive Convention on International Terrorism'.

The vice president made the remarks at a virtual event organised by the Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management to present the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Award for Excellence-2020 to Sudha Murty, the chairperson of Infosys Foundation, for her philanthropic work.
