Karnataka to unveil decadal infrastructure blueprint for Bengaluru tech corridors: Priyank Kharge

Kharge's announcement comes at a time when tech hubs on Outer Ring Road,  Whitefield, Electronics City as well as industrial hub Peenya, and other areas are battling infrastructure issues such as water shortages during summer, flooding during the monsoon, broken roads, and traffic congestion.

Kharge further said, "Deputy CM DK Shivakumar is clear on his agenda for Bengaluru. He is committed to engaging with the leaders of Bengaluru’s tech corridors to assess the civic amenities required, including mobility, water, power, and other essential services. We will ensure that Bengaluru remains a global leader in the long run. The focus will also be on tier-two towns, which are attracting investments."

He said infrastructure issues are common to every growing city, whether it's Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai, London, or San Francisco. "But we are doing everything possible to address these challenges swiftly in Bengaluru. "If you look at our achievements, we've already opened the entire Bengaluru Metro's Purple Line (Whitefield – Challaghatta). Metro work is progressing at a brisk pace, and we are implementing extensive underground drainage systems to prevent severe clogging." he said.
