Minutes after he was rushed to a hospital in Thane, Maharashtra caretaker chief minister dispelled rumours about his worsening health condition. Responding to the reporters, Shinde boldly said 'Badiya Hai' when asked about his health.

Shinde has been suffering from a throat infection and fever since last week. Doctors have reportedly recommended a comprehensive examination, and he may be admitted for further investigations. Shinde’s recent health reports indicate a drop in his WBC count.

However, initial tests for dengue and malaria have returned negative. Medical experts are conducting a detailed evaluation to determine the underlying cause of his condition, claimed reports.

The Shiv Sena leader had left for his native village in Satara district last Friday amid speculation that he was not happy with the way the new government was shaping up. He developed a high fever in his village.
