PM Modi dedicated to people the six-lane greenfield expressway section of the Amritsar-Jamnagar Economic Corridor, the first phase of the Inter-State Transmission Line for the Green Energy Corridor, a Bikaner-to-Bhiwadi transmission line and a 30-bed Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) hospital.
He also laid the foundation stone for the redevelopment of the Bikaner railway station and the doubling of the 43-km-long Churu-Ratangarh section.

Weather Live Updates: Thousands of pilgrims stranded as Amarnath Yatra suspended for second day
The Amarnath Yatra was suspended for the second consecutive day on Saturday following incessant rains and landslides, leaving thousands of pilgrims stranded in Jammu and at various places en route to the cave shrine.
Union minister Jitendra Singh assured the pilgrims that senior officials are monitoring the situation and requested them not to panic and to follow instructions issued by authorities from time to time.
Heavy rains have lashed large parts of Jammu and Kashmir since Thursday night while several high-altitude areas, including Mahaguns Top and adjoining areas near the Amarnath cave shrine, experienced snowfall. Some places witnessed record rainfall over a 24-hour period for July.

Cutting across ideological lines, all parties in West Bengal on Saturday condemned the killing of 11 people in various districts as voting for the panchayat elections is underway, while the opposition BJP called for President's Rule in the state.
The ruling Trinamool Congress, which lost six of its supporters to poll violence, accused the opposition of instigating violence and criticised the central forces for their failure to protect the voters.
State Congress president Adhir Chowdhury, on the other hand, alleged that TMC goons are having a free run and people's mandate has been looted. The CPI(M)'s West Bengal secretary Md Salim claimed that the central force was not properly mobilised.
Live Weather Updates: IMD yellow alert in Delhi for Sunday
Delhi on Saturday witnessed heavy rainfall that caused several areas in the national capital to go under water, with the Met office predicting more showers during the remainder of the day.
This was the season's first heavy spell of rain. An 'orange' alert is in place for more showers on Saturday.
A 'yellow alert' is in place for Sunday, the India Meteorological Department said.
The Safdarjung Observatory, Delhi's primary weather station, recorded 98.7 mm rainfall till 2.30 pm. The Ridge Observatory recorded 111.4 mm rainfall, it said.

Monsoon News LIVE: Delhi to get heavy showers
The Met office predicting heavy showers in Delhi on July 8. Early morning travellers were impacted and PWD received 15 waterlogging complaints since morning.
The Safdarjung Observatory, Delhi's primary weather station, recorded 21.4 mm rainfall between 8.30 and 11.30 am. The Ridge Observatory recorded 36.4 mm rainfall, the India Meteorological Department said.

2020 Delhi riots: Court acquits 6 accused of arson, loot, rioting
A Delhi court has acquitted six people accused of rioting, arson and looting on two properties during the 2020 northeast Delhi riots.
Additional Sessions Judge Pulastya Pramachala passed the order while hearing a case against Sahil, Dinesh, Tinku, Sandeep, Vikas Kashyap and Sonu, who were accused of being a part of a riotous mob that committed trespass and thefts in a shop in Bhagirathi Vihar during the riots on the intervening night of 24th and 25th February 2020.
They were also accused of being members of an unlawful assembly that committed arson, trespass and theft in a nearby house around 9 pm on February 24.(PTI)
'Till every child, rich or poor, in the country doesn’t get a good education, there won’t be progress in the country': CM Kejriwal
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal while interacting with JEE and NEET toppers from Delhi government schools said it was the dream of his party to impart good education to each and every child in the country.
“When our government was formed eight years ago, we were new to politics. We had a dream…till every child, rich or poor, in the country doesn’t get a good education, there won’t be progress in the country," CM Kejriwal said.
"When the government was formed eight years ago, I was from an ordinary background, a middle class family. I never thought I would go into politics, but there was god’s miracle and your support, and we formed the government. Then, we started working on this. The work was not easy, but it was also not impossible. In eight years, Thyagaraj stadium, which is full today, is filled with success,” he added.
There has been an increase in the number of students from government schools who have cleared these exams, the CM said. While 1391 students have qualified in the NEET exams this year, 496 had cleared it in 2021. A total of 106 students have cleared JEE Advanced this year, up from 64 in 2021.
1984 anti-Sikh riots: Court to take call on chargesheet against Tytler on July 19
- A Delhi court will decide on July 19 whether to take cognisance of a charge sheet filed against Congress leader Jagdish Tytler in a case related to the alleged Pul Bangash killings during the 1984 anti-Sikh riots.
- Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM) Vidhi Gupta Anand reserved the order on July 7 after hearing arguments from prosecuting agency Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) as well as the counsel appearing for the complainant.
- The judge also directed the court staff to check whether the case records, received from another court which was earlier hearing the case, is complete in all respects and file a report by July 19, the next date of hearing. (PTI)

Manipur Violence LIVE: Cars set ablaze, shots heard in Imphal
