As per the latest Election Commission data after round 6 of 12, Iltija Mufti is trailing behind National Conference’s Bashir Ahmad Shah Veeeri by 4,334 votes. Despite the setback, Mufti has gracefully accepted the outcome, emphasising her respect for the people's decision.

In the 2014 Assembly Elections, Abdul Rehman Bhat from the JKPDP won the seat by a margin of 2,868 votes. He secured 23,581 votes, which accounted for 48.79% of the total. He defeated Bashir Ahmad Shah from the JKN, who received 20,713 votes, or 42.85%.
