Karnataka government and mobility startup Tummoc have tied up to offer free Metro travel for delegates attending the Bengaluru Tech Summit (BTS) at BIEC, which begins on November 18.
Tummoc has partnered with Karnataka Department of Electronics, Information Technology & Bio Technology for Bengaluru Tech Summit 2025, being held at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) from November 18 to 20.
“The delegates attending BTS will get a free Metro pass. The facility has been integrated into the Tummoc app. Bengaluru Metro has agreed to operate additional services to cater to the demand,” said Manjula N, secretary, department of Electronics, Information Technology, Biotechnology, and Science & Technology. She added that this is the first time BTS is being conducted at BIEC.
A Tummoc spokesperson told Moneycontrol that the facility will go live on November 18 for delegates registered for BTS. “Registered participants will receive two free Metro tickets per day (a round trip) to Madavara Metro Station. They can book complimentary Metro tickets in just a few taps,” the spokesperson said.
“Through a direct integration between the BTS registration system and the Tummoc app, registered attendees can easily verify their credentials and generate QR-based metro tickets to and from Madavara (BIEC), the event venue. This initiative, supported by the Government of Karnataka, encourages public transport usage and underscores Bengaluru’s commitment to smarter, greener mobility,” a Tummoc statement said.
Delegates can also book first- and last-mile connectivity to and from Metro stations through Tummoc, including cab, auto, bike-taxi and carpooling options. While the minimum fare for Bengaluru Metro is Rs 10 for journeys up to 2 km, the maximum fare is Rs 90 for trips of 25 km or more.
The 28th edition of BTS will have ten conference tracks aligned with the 'Futurise' theme, with more than 100 sessions, 500 global speakers, over 1,000 exhibitors, 15,000 attendees, and 50,000 business visitors from more than 60 countries.
BTS 2025 will be inaugurated by CM Siddaramaiah in the presence of deputy CM DK Shivakumar and other dignitaries on November 18.
