Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, has been detained in California, US, according to TV reports.
The arrest comes shortly after the Mumbai Police submitted an extradition request for Anmol, following confirmation from US authorities about his presence in the country.
Anmol is accused of involvement in several high-profile crimes, including the Baba Siddique murder case. He was also chargesheeted in two cases registered by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in 2022.
The NIA had recently announced a Rs 10 lakh reward for information leading to his capture.
Anmol has also been named as wanted accused in connection with firing outside the Bollywood actor Salman Khan's apartment in Bandra on April 14.
