Aaditya Thackeray and Amit Thackeray were seen sharing the stage with their fathers Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray after the latter two reunited for a joint rally after 20 years. The moment was captured in a video that was shared by news agency ANI.
The crowd was also seen clapping and cheeringa for the two cousins after they shook hands and hugged it out on the stage as their fathers reunited.
In another video that surfaced online, Supriya Sule was seen trying to make Amit and Aditya meet. In the video, Supriya Sule took their hands and made them stand next to Raj and Uddhav as all the leaders posed for photos. The video showed Aditya standing next to his uncle Raj and Amit stood next to his uncle Uddhav.
Cousins Raj and Uddhav also shared a warm hug on the stage as they came together after so many years. The event, dubbed the "Marathi Victory Rally", was held to celebrate the Maharashtra government's rollback of two controversial government resolutions (GRs) that would have introduced Hindi as a third compulsory language in schools from Class 1 to 5.
