PM Narendra Modi to inaugurate India's longest sea bridge 'Atal Setu' today

The construction of the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Sewari - Nhava Sheva Atal Setu, formerly known as the Mumbai Transharbour Link (MTHL), is in line with the government's vision to improve ease of mobility.

PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone of the underground road tunnel connecting Eastern Freeway's Orange Gate to Marine Drive.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Maharashtra today to inaugurate and travel on the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Sewari - Nhava Sheva Atal Setu.

He will arrive in Nashik around 12:15 PM to inaugurate the 27th National Youth Festival. Later, at 3:30 PM in Mumbai, he will inaugurate and travel on the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Sewari - Nhava Sheva Atal Setu.

The construction of the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Sewari - Nhava Sheva Atal Setu, formerly known as the Mumbai Transharbour Link (MTHL), is in line with the government's vision to improve ease of mobility.

The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of the bridge in December 2016. The Atal Setu has been constructed at a total cost of over Rs. 17,840 crore.

It is about 21.8 km long 6-lane bridge having about 16.5 km length over the sea and about 5.5 km on the land. It is the longest bridge in India and also the longest sea bridge in India.
