Andhra Pradesh Assembly Elections: Key things to know ahead of results on June 4

Andhra Pradesh went out to vote for the Assembly Elections on May 13, along with the Lok Sabha elections. The counting of elections will begin at 8 am, according to the Election Commission (EC).

This time, the YSRCP contended alone for all 175 seat, while the TDP nominated candidates in 144 seats. Pawan Kalyan-led Jana Sena Party (JSP) contested on 21 seats and the BJP contended on 10 seats.

The BJP contested 10 Assembly seats, while the Telugu Desam Party (TDP)  contended 144 state seats. Per the deal, JSP fielded candidates for 21 Assembly seats.

The high-octane Assembly Elections this time focused on crucial issues including, special category c status for the state, status for the state capital, allegations of corruption and unemployment.
