Delhi Daredevils (DD) take on table toppers Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in match 42 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Thursday. Sunrisers come into this game on the back of a five-match winning streak and will be looking to add to that run to seal a top two finish.

In their previous outing, SRH faced off against Virat Kolhi’s Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Kane Williamson was the lone fighter among the SRH batsmen as he scored a hard fought 56 from 39 balls to help his team reach 146 in 20 overs. RCB then faced the full brunt of the Hyderabad bowling attack as what seemed to be an easy target to chase all of a sudden felt like a mountain to climb. The bowlers stifled the batsmen in the middle overs and two excellent overs at the death by Kaul and Bhuvneshwar helped Sunrisers win by five runs

Delhi’s last outing was a defeat to the Sunrisers itself. Youngster Prithvi Shaw (65) and Captain Shreyas Iyer (44) helped DD post a competitive total of 163 runs. Sunrisers however, as they have done numerous times this season, rose to the occasion and successfully completed their highest chase of the season. Openers Hale and Dhawan put on a 76-run stand at the top and Yusuf Pathan who came in fifth to bat scored 27 off just 12 deliveries to help his team to a seven wicket victory
