The third edition of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS 2025) wrapped up successfully at the India Expo Centre & Mart in Greater Noida, according to a release from the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO).
Organised by the Government of Uttar Pradesh from September 25-29, the five-day mega event facilitated over 31,650 B2B meetings between Indian exporters and global buyers. The interactions resulted in the signing of more than 3,900 MoUs worth USD 425 million (approximately Rs 2,680 crore). FIEO, acting as the nodal agency, expects the event to generate a total business potential exceeding Rs 12,500 crore.
The trade show drew participation from 88 countries, including major economies like Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, South Africa, South Korea, the UK, the US, and the UAE, as well as regional partners such as Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Kenya, and Uganda.
Over 2,400 exhibitors from Uttar Pradesh showcased products spanning handicrafts, textiles, engineering goods, food, pharmaceuticals, and electronics.
Commenting on the event's success, SC Ralhan, President of FIEO, said, "The scale and outcomes of UPITS 2025 demonstrate the growing global confidence in India's trade capabilities and the strong demand for products from Uttar Pradesh."
He added, "The record number of MoUs and business inquiries highlights the readiness of Indian exporters to meet international demand. This event has reaffirmed that with the right infrastructure and global outreach, Uttar Pradesh can become a key engine of India's export growth story."
Earlier in the day, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal praised Uttar Pradesh as an emerging hub for investment, innovation, and exports. Speaking at the trade show, he described UPITS 2025 as a strong platform to promote the state's self-reliance and economic growth. He also noted that India is actively negotiating Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) with several countries and is on track to become the world's third-largest economy.
