Prakash Diwan of Altamount Capital Management told CNBC-TV18, "It is a little bit of early days for realty sector to see any major turnaround of sorts. Primarily there is still very weak offtake on the inventory on the ground and my sense is it is only people who have been able to launch projects, which have seen some sort of sales traction will do well. So by virtue of that, Godrej Properties, which has done fairly well in cities like tier-II towns like Pune and Ahmedabad is kind of doing well."
"Oberoi Realty could probably benefit out of that as well given the strong cash position it has in the launch of the Borivali project. So exceptional players who do well but overall I would still stay away from the sector. I don’t think there is too much of promise too soon in that," he said.
Disclosure: In his portfolio as well as personally, analyst does not hold any but the realty stocks, Godrej and Oberoi, analyst does have some personal exposure.
