UR Bhat, Director at Dalton Capital Advisors told CNBC-TV18, "The problems of the PSU banks are far from being solved. If you see the June quarter results, it doesn’t seem to suggest that the NPA problem is behind them. They seem to be building on NPAs, the restructured assets continue to mount and the total stressed assets in our view is quite scary. So, it is really running on the government making up its mind on giving some capital but that is only a very small portion of the capital needs of the public sector banks.""PSU banks need to raise money from the market for quite a huge balance and that is going to be difficult as long as the NPAs continue to at the level at which they are. So, there is probably a case for some profit booking because their woes are far from getting anywhere over," he said.
