Prefer UltraTech Cement, add Ramco Cement to portfolio: Choksey

Deven Choksey of KRChoksey Invst Managers told CNBC-TV18, "I feel that cement could be reasonably good space to be in. Definitely the companies with larger capacities would demand the first attention and that includes names like UltraTech Cement. I think with the kind of acquisitions that they are talking about, this company would remain in favourable books. In fact I believe that cement is up for a good three years upcycle now. So, certainly I think one could consider cement to add into the portfolio." "The choice would remain simple, companies like UltraTech because of the sheer size, the capacity that they have, including the regional pockets where the developments are seen in particular in south Andhra Pradesh, where we feel that companies like Ramco Cement would be relatively a better choice to add into the portfolio. So, there would be select choices and definitely I think they demand attention inclusion into the portfolio," he said.
