Ashu Madan of Religare Securities told CNBC-TV18, "I would say that irrespective of the run up or everything surrounding around it, Asian Paints looks good. Somebody has a long-term view, definitely, but even from the short-term perspective, I don’t see there is any reason to worry. Even if it dips because of any reason, market momentum is on, it is a leading stock, it is doing good, and input costs are helping the company. So, I think certainly a hold from my side. I don’t think one should get bothered by a small movement here and there."
Asian Paints ended at Rs 1,167.80, up Rs 10.15, or 0.88 percent on the BSE.
