Bharti Airtel may continue to underperform, says Dipan Mehta, Member- BSE/ NSE.

Mehta told CNBC-TV18, “Telecom space, all depends upon the timing and it is an event-driven situation, so one really can’t and per se Bharti Airtel certainly has had greater success with institutional investors than R Comm group.”
He further added, “It could be that they could find investors who may take this particular stake and will certainly help the financial position of the company. But I think that on the whole at least for the next few quarters or so again uncertainty is clouding the industry and the stock per se. So, you could see underperformance or maybe you could have a trading bounce sooner or later, but the sector and the stock will continue to underperform the markets and that I think is an important observation from an investor’s point of view.”
