Sharekhan has come out with its report on agri commodities. According to the research firm, Chana prices would remain weak on profit booking while upcoming festival demand may support the prices.

- Tight supply supports the field pea markets in Canada. Canadian field pea export surged to 3.55 lakh tonne in March, 2013. Bulk export movement in the January- March quarter represents 43 percent of all pea movement since the start of the Canada's marketing year.
- French field pea export in February totalled at 11,610MT, up by 44 percent from the 8,080 shipped in January, and also well above the 7,710MT shipped the same month last year. This lifts export shipments so far this marketing year to 94,340MT, compared with 167,770MT during the same period last season.
- Canadian visible field pea stock totalled at 267,300MT during the last week, up by 90100MT from 177,200MT by this time of the season during the last marketing year. Moreover, season export shipments totalled at 1,356,700MT up by 106,800 from 1,249,900MT in last year.
- Canadian lentil markets witness firm tone on strong demand from the Indian subcontinent. Canadian lentil export surged by 72 percent to 140,060 tonne in February month as compared with that of January month.

- At NCDEX, soybean and RM seed witnessed weakness on profit booking taking cues from CBOT and World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates (WASDE) report.
- The USDA export sales report (March 29-April 04) revealed that export sales were supportive to market direction today with the net weekly sales coming in at 319,200 tonne for the current marketing year and 64,500 tonne for the next marketing year for a total of 383,700 tonne.
