In a significant shift within the leadership team at Unacademy, co-founder and Chief Technology Officer, Hemesh Singh, on June 8 announced his decision to move from an executive role to an advisory role.
Singh shared the update on X, formerly Twitter, reflecting on nearly a decade of contributions to the edtech giant alongside his cofounders, Gaurav Munjal and Roman Saini.
"After almost a decade of building Unacademy with Gaurav Munjal and Roman Saini, I have decided to move from an Executive Role to an Advisory Role," Singh posted on the social media platform.
Expressing his gratitude for the opportunity to be a part of Unacademy's journey , he highlighted the transformative impact the company has had on the test preparation industry. Singh also extended his thanks to Gaurav Munjal for his support throughout their collaboration.
Unacademy CEO Munjal recalled how Singh and he began their collaboration 11 years ago.
“Hemesh and I started working together 11 years ago when we were building Flatchat. It has been a crazy ride and I have been grateful to have a Co-Founder like you. Unacademy will miss you,” Gaurav Munjal posted on X.
Unacademy was established in 2015 by Munjal, Saini and Singh.
