Leading real estate developer Omaxe Group has bagged Rs 500 crore from funds managed by Howard Marks' Oaktree Capital as growth capital, to speed up residential and commercial projects in cities like Chandigarh, Lucknow, Ludhiana, Faridabad, and others, a company filing said on July 28.

"The funding will strengthen the company’s core and accelerate delivery timelines for residential, commercial, and public-private partnership (PPP) developments, including its infrastructure, commercial, and residential projects," Omaxe said, adding that the partnership will enable the company to enhance presence in more growth cities.

Oaktree Capital is a global investment manager, co-founded and co-chaired by Howard Marks, and specializes in alternative investments with over $203 billion in AUM as on March 2025, having presence in 25 cities across the globe. Oaktree has 8 percent assets in real estate, and 17 percent of its AUM is in the Asia Pacific region.
