Jaypee Infratech case: NBCC may move Supreme Court against IRP's decision to reject its bid

The government’s construction arm NBCC may approach the Supreme Court against the Committee of Creditors' (CoC) decision to declare its bid to acquire Jaypee Infratech non-compliant, sources told Moneycontrol.

It is also expected to seek a clarification from the Interim Resolution Professional (IRP) Anuj Jain and the Committee of Creditors (CoC) against the decision, they said.

It considers the decision taken by the CoC as biased, sources said.

It should be remembered that  NBCC's plan was approved by the CoC and the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) in the third round of bidding process held in late-2019 and early-last year.
