Gold, silver rates today, November 4: Gold has once again extended its decline in international markets. Latest trade data shows bullion slipping below the $4,000 mark per ounce, trading at around $3,980. The primary reason for the decline is the US Federal Reserve’s decision not to signal another rate-cut cycle in December.

In India, the 24K gold rate hovered around the Rs 1,23,000 range, nearly Rs 20,000 lower than the Dhanteras high.

According to a Bloomberg report, the precious metal surged to a record high midway through last month before retreating on concerns that its rally had been too rapid. Traders are now assessing whether the upward trend will continue, with the outlook partly influenced by the US Federal Reserve. A more accommodative monetary policy typically boosts the appeal of non-yielding assets like gold. After implementing two recent rate cuts, policymakers are set to convene next month for their final scheduled meeting of the year.
Similarly, silver also fell in the international markets weeks after the historic London squeeze that led to a robust rally.
