Market not in a bubble yet, but some pockets overvalued; like pvt banks: Franklin Templeton

R Sukumar of Franklin Templeton Investments said that in this market, one could look for stock ideas which are undervalued.

The Indian market has been witnessing a record run in the past few months, with indices clocking fresh highs in almost every session. The Nifty has captured the crucial 9900-mark, while the Sensex too touched a notch above 32,100 in the recent past.

Having said that, there are voices which have raised concerns on the run-up in the market that are reportedly not in tandem with the fundamentals.

Franklin Templeton Investments believes that the market is not in a bubble yet. However, there are pockets of over-valuation in midcaps and smallcaps. But, there are cases where there are undervalued ideas among them and one would use the cash to buy them, R Sukumar, MD & CIO, Franklin Asian Eq, Franklin Templeton Investments told CNBC-TV18 in an interview.

Compared to global levels, markets are undervalued against most other asset classes. The volatility of markets has come off as they have become more matured.
