Subhrajit Roy has joined Motilal Oswal Investment Banking as a Senior Managing Director and Head (Equity Capital Markets), according to an update on professional networking platform Linkedin.
Previously, he was a Managing Director and Head (Global Capital Markets), India at BofA Securities.
Prior to BofA Securities, Roy, an IIM Lucknow alumnus, with a total experience of 24 years, has had stints at Kotak Investment Banking, Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank, JP Morgan Chase and ICICI Bank according to his Linkedin profile.
On January 24, 2024, Moneycontrol had reported that Amit Ramchandani had moved from JM Financial to become the CEO, Investment Banking at Motilal Oswal Group.
In the recent past, Motilal Oswal investment banking has worked on deals like the Rs 3,000-crore IPO of Dr Agarwal's Healthcare and the Rs 7,500 crore and Rs 2,250 crore QIPs of Varun Beverages and 360 One Wam respectively.
With 337 issues (mainline and SME) in 2024, India rose to the top in global IPO volumes for the first time, storming ahead of the US which had 183 issues and listing more than two and half times as many as Europe.
