Engineering and construction major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has received a 'significant' order of up to Rs 2,500 crore in value to build Uzbekistan's first AI-enabled and sustainable 10-Megawatt data centre in Tashkent, the company said on January 28.

L&T will deliver the data centre through the engineering, procurement and construction route, adding the facility will be equipped with advanced AI capabilities, with minimal environmental impact and maximum energy efficiency.

V Satish, Member of Executive Committee and Advisor to the L&T CMD said, "...L&T Buildings & Factories vertical will be executing this AI-enabled and sustainable data centre in Tashkent. This underscores the expertise of L&T in executing complex and unique projects across the globe."
