GHCL Ltd has informed the exchanges that its soda ash plant will undergo an annual scheduled maintenance shutdown from September 26 to October 12, 2025. The company said the planned closure is aimed at carrying out essential upkeep work to ensure the plant’s efficient and safe operations.
During this 17-day shutdown period, GHCL expects a total production shortfall of approximately 22,000-25,000 tonnes of soda ash. The company clarified that this temporary dip in production is part of its regular maintenance cycle and not due to any operational disruption.
Reassuring stakeholders, GHCL stated that it has built up a sufficient reserve stock of soda ash to meet customer requirements during the shutdown. As a result, the company said it does not anticipate any adverse impact on supply commitments.
The disclosure was made under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, with the company requesting the exchanges to disseminate the information to all concerned parties.
Shares of GHCL were trading at Rs 587.45 on Friday, down 1.83 percent, with a day’s high of Rs 600.10 and a low of Rs 587. The stock has declined 9.69 percent over the past year, moving between Rs 511.05 and Rs 779.00 during the period.
