FIIs trim stakes in six Adani Group firms in Q1; sell-off totals Rs 4,640 crore

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were observed trimming their holdings in several Adani Group companies during the June 2025 quarter, with six out of eight firms witnessing stake reductions totaling around Rs 4,640 crore, according to data from shareholding pattern on BSE.

Interestingly, the GQG Partners stake in most group firms remained the same except for one, and selling was observed among other FIIs. However, the names of the FIIs that sold were not mentioned in the shareholding.

Adani Energy Solutions Ltd recorded the largest divestment, with FIIs offloading shares worth around Rs 1,833 crore. The FII stake in the company declined to 15.85 percent from 17.58 percent in the previous quarter. Notably, Abu Dhabi-based IHC Capital Holding’s subsidiary, Envestcom Holding RSC, reduced its holding in Adani Energy Solutions to 2.68 percent from 4.6 percent.
