Air India taps Tata Technologies to revamp aircraft interiors

Tata Group-owned Air India has tapped Tata Technologies to transform aircraft interiors, collaborating for modifications as well as use of advanced material for a futuristic experience.

The airline will optimize weight as well as seek Tata Technologies' expertise in aerospace engineering to improve the design and safety, as well as streamline operations, Tata Technologies said October 28.

Campbell Wilson, CEO and MD of Air India said the approval is a reaffirmation of the airline's capabilities to 'maintain fleet and commitment to enhancing the customer experience'.

"These innovations are set to redefine the passenger experience by ensuring that aircraft interiors are not only functional and safe but also future proof, providing passengers with
modern comfort and state-of-the-art technology," the product engineering company said in a statement. Warren Harris, CEO and MD of Tata Technologies added the collaboration will leverage Tata's global aerospace expertise, and help deliver 'next-generation aircraft interiors'.
