India Mobile Congress 2025 to spotlight India’s SATCOM revolution

India’s satellite communication (satcom) sector is on the cusp of a revolution powered by bold government reforms and cutting-edge technologies. Once confined to niche applications, satcom is now central to the government’s vision of providing universal connectivity and transforming India into a global space economy leader.

From powering high-speed internet to enabling smart agriculture in rural areas, satcom is poised to complement terrestrial networks and expand the reach while contributing to India’s digital transformation.

India's satcom sector currently stands at USD 2.3 billion a year and is estimated to reach USD 20 billion by 2028, as per KPMG. It is in this environment that India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2025 is bringing satcom to the center stage through a dedicated Satcom Summit in partnership with IN-SPACe on October 8, 2025.

The India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2025, billed as Asia’s largest digital technology forum, will be held from October 8–11 at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre in New Delhi. The ninth edition of the event is expected to draw more than 1.5 lakh visitors, 7,000 delegates, 800 speakers and 400 exhibitors from 150 countries, according to the official press release.
