ICICI Lombard General Insurance Co Ltd has on April 17 reported a net profit of Rs 519 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2024, a 19 percent year-on-year rise versus Rs 436 crore in the year-ago period.
The net premium written increased to Rs 4,767 crore from Rs 4,047 crore a year ago, a jump of 18 percent YoY. The company's solvency ratio too improved, coming in at 2.62 percent compared to 2.51 percent year-on-year.
Additionally, the company's Board recommended a final dividend of Rs 6 per share.
On April 16, the insurer's shares on BSE closed trading 1.46% higher at Rs 1,654. Markets were shut on April 17 on the occasion of Ram Navami.
