Gold, silver prices today on Oct 28: Days after a sharp plunge, gold rebounded above the $4,000-an-ounce mark in the international bullion market on Tuesday. In India, however, prices continued to slide. According to Goodreturns data, 24K gold saw a correction of about Rs 820 per 10 grams.

| 24K | Rs 1,22,460 |
| 22K | Rs 1,12,250 |
| 18K | Rs 91,840 |
Globally, gold rose as much as 0.9% on Tuesday, recovering part of Monday's 3.2% drop, Bloomberg reported. The rebound came after negotiators from Washington and Beijing announced a series of agreements covering tariffs and export controls. Meanwhile, US Treasury yields edged higher as traders maintained expectations that the Federal Reserve will ease monetary policy this week - a move that typically dampens demand for non-interest-bearing assets like gold.

Earlier this month, a liquidity crunch in the London silver market triggered a global rush for the metal. With benchmark prices in London surging above those in New York, some traders reportedly resorted to the rare and costly move of flying silver bars across the Atlantic - a practice usually reserved for gold - to capitalise on the price gap.
On the MCX, silver futures for December 5, 2025, traded at around Rs 1,43,367 per kg, moving between Rs 1,47,479 and Rs 1,41,292 during the session, with a marginal gain of 0.06%.
