India mulls tighter visa norms for Chinese nationals to curb dumping: Report

India is likely to make visa approval for Chinese nationals more difficult, especially for those involved in the commercial and technical sectors, a report by Mint said. The government will also keep a close eye on the hosts of Chinese citizens, the newspaper said citing sources.

The move comes following growing concerns of dumping of goods by China to beat the tariff imposed by the US.

The report said India is worried over China redirecting its goods bound for US to India that could adversely affect the local industry.
