Automotive battery maker Exide Industries' third quarter profit is expected to be flat at Rs 134.4 crore against Rs 133.9 crore in year-ago period, but revenue may grow 13.5 percent to Rs 1,730 crore.
Revenue growth may be led by four-wheeler segment and price hikes.
Operating profit is expected to fall by 2.6 percent year-on-year to Rs 228 crore and margin may shrink by 210 basis points to 13.2 percent due to higher lead cost, according to average of estimates of analysts polled by CNBC-TV18.
Its competitor Amara Raja Batteries reported a 300 bps fall in margin due to higher lead costs that have risen sharply 12 percent QoQ.
