Vishal Kapoor new CEO of IDFC AMC

IDFC on July 7 said that it has appointed Vishal Kapoor as chief executive of IDFC Asset Management Company.

Kapoor's last assignment was with Standard Chartered Bank as the managing director, head of wealth management, India. He is expected to join his new role by September.

Kapoor will be responsible for driving accelerated growth of IDFC AMC, heading a seasoned senior management team including Kalpen Parekh, Anoop Bhaskar and Suyash Choudhary.

In addition to his current responsibilities as managing director sales and marketing, Parekh will drive the growth of portfolio management services and international businesses while Bhaskar will continue as the head of equities and Choudhary as the head of fixed income.
