Britain's Prime Minister Theresa May is in India for a 3-day visit aimed at developing India-UK ties further in key areas like trade, defence and investment. Theresa May visiting India with trade delegates indicates that the country is a place with which the UK wants to strengthen its bilateral and economic ties, believes Sunil Mittal, chairman of Bharti Enterprises. Brexit, he said, is a positive for India. Speaking to CNBC-TV18’s Ronojoy Bannerjee, Mittal said: “UK, if it’s coming out of EU, needs a large country like India.”Tulsi Tanti, CMD of Suzlon said that there exists huge synergy benefit between the two countries. There are opportunities for investments in the renewable energy sector and education sector.
