Steve Waugh launches real estate portal for NRIs

Former Australian Cricketer, Steve Waugh is all set for his second innings - in the pitch of real estate segment. The former Ashes captain has launched a real estate portal called ‘Waugh Global’.In an interview with CNBC-TV18’s Kevin Lee, Waugh said that the portal will cater to non-resident Indians (NRIs) interested in properties in India. Waugh said the portal will broker deals for luxury houses in Indian cities adding that demand for real estate in NRIs is high. Waugh expects to touch USD 1 billion sales by FY17. A philanthropist by nature, Waugh said that a part of the profits will be kept aside for charities.
