IMP Powers Ltd has received an order for 1,920 MVA of 160 MVA, 230 KV power transformers from Tamil Nadu Transmission Corporation. The total order value is Rs 62 crore.
In an interview to CNBC-TV18, Aaditya R Dhoot, Joint MD of the company spoke about the latest happenings in his company and sector.
"This is one of the many orders that we have recently bagged. Our total order book would be close to about Rs 616 crore", he said.
He expects margins to be significantly better in FY18 compared to FY17.
"The focus of the government on the transmission and distribution (T&D) sector is high. If the entire Gujarat model is extrapolated in the entire country, there is going to be huge potential in the T&D sector and that is what we are looking at", he further mentioned.
