Ransomware incident at Tata Tech led to temporary suspension of IT services

Tata Technologies reported a ransomware incident affecting a few of its IT assets. As a precautionary measure, some services were temporarily suspended but have now been fully restored. Engineering services company Tata Technologies has disclosed on January 31 a 'ransomware incident' which affected few of its IT assets, after which some of the services were temporarily suspended.

The services were discontinued as precaution, and have now been fully restored, the company added. "...some of the IT services were suspended temporarily and have now been restored. Our Client delivery services have remained fully functional and unaffected throughout," the statement said.

"Further detailed investigation is underway in consultation with experts to assess the root cause and to take remedial action as necessary. We remain committed to the highest standards of security and data protection and are taking all necessary steps to mitigate any potential risks," said Tata Tech.
