M K Bhattacharya joins Indian Bank as ED

Public sector Indian Bank today announced the appointment of M K Bhattacharya as its Executive Director with immediate effect.

Prior to taking up the new role, he was Chief General Manager and Chief Risk Officer at State Bank of Travancore, the city headquartered bank said in a statement.

Bhattacharya, in his more than three decade old career joined State Bank of Mysore as a probationery officer and held various responsibilities, including Branch Head, Regional Head and Module Head.

He is also an Associate Member of Institute of Cost and Works Accountant and a post graduate in Commerce and CAIIB, the statement said.
