Kalyani Group is positive about commencing operations at its Hyderabad plant which it expects to be ready by March-April this year. The company, which manufactures defence products in a joint venture with Israeli defence firm Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, will showcase jet engines at the upcoming Aero India 2017, said Chairman Baba Kalyani.The biennial aero show will begin on February 14 and end on February 18. Kalyani said the joint-venture with Rafael is working smoothly, Kalyani said.
Speaking to CNBC-TV18, Kalyani said he is very positive on the outlook for FY18 in absence of major disruptions in global economy, political and financial system. The country's manufacturing sector is likely to do well on the back of major outlay in defence, railways, infrastructure or mining, he added.
