In an interview to CNBC-TV18, Gopal Agarwal, CFO, Ganesha Ecosphere, shares his views on the company's performance and outlook for the future.
Below is the verbatim transcript of Gopal Agarwal's interview with Anuj Singhal and Ekta Batra on CNBC-TV18.
Ekta: We do understand you have a very interesting business model where you convert consumer polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles into yarn or textiles, can you tell us what exactly the business model is for example who are your customers and what kind of demand are you seeing right now?
A: We convert the post-consumer PET bottles into polyester staple fibre and yarn and it is used in the textile for making fabrics and the business is going up.
Anuj: But your numbers don’t reveal that at least for last quarter where the topline was flat and the profit was down?
A: Because of the drop in crude oil prices, the prices of product has also come down.
Ekta: What kind of demand are you seeing right now? Can you tell us who your key customers are and how much are you servicing in terms of orders?
A: The demand is good and it is going up around by 10 percent per annum and volume is also increasing.
Ekta: If you had to tell us how much your volumes increased or how much demand you saw from your clients in the previous quarter, what would it be?
A: Our production has increased by over 20 percent.
