Amazon India completes 2 years today. In an exclusive conversation with CNBC-TV18's Poornima Murali, Amit Agarwal, Managing Director of Amazon India talks about the mobile growth, foreign direct investment (FDI) in e-commerce and the e-tailer's contribution to make in India initiative.

Agarwal said, “We have always maintained that FDI in e-commerce is a good thing for India. It is so aligned with the vision of make in India and digital India that we genuinely believe it is good. The reason why it is good is, while e-commerce currently is helping a lot of retailers get a level playing field. What FDI allows for a company like Amazon is to be able to source from these small, medium manufacturers selection that other sellers are unable to source”.
