Insecticides India is looking to enter the export market. In an interview to CNBC-TV18, Sandeep Agarwal, chief financial officer of Insecticides India said, within two-three months, the company will be exporting to South East Asian counties.
Below is the edited transcript of his interview. Also watch the accompanying video. Q: There have been some reports saying that you are entering the export segment. Is that so? Are you looking at entering the export segment? A: Yes, definitely we are looking to enter the export segment. For export, we need to have some registration, which is almost on the final line. Within two-three months, we will be exporting to South East Asian counties. Q: Do you have some amount of international presence? A: At present, we have very small presence in Bangladesh. Q: In your previous interview you had indicated capacity expansion of perhaps 60-70 crore. Now with you looking at entering the export segment, are you looking at higher guidance for your capex? A: No. practically we are looking for Rs 60-70 crore. Exports will be from the existing capacities only. We are setting up a new plant in Chopanki. Q: You spoke about getting the registration for exports in the next two-three odd months. Could you tell us what is the size of exports that you are currently looking at? Do you currently have enough production to service that? A: Yes, currently we have enough production to service that. In the current year, we are not looking for much exports.
