A Subba Rao, Group chief financial officer, GMR Infrastructure expects Vemagiri plant to be ready for generation by last quarter of the current financial year.
Speaking to CNBC-TV18 about the recent developments in GMR Infra he said, their Orissa plant is likely to commission between April and September of the next calendar year. By 2013, nearly 2,000 megawatts of GMR's coal-fired plants will come into generation. Citing company's order book he said, "In the road sector, the order book would be close to USD 2 billion. In the power sector, projects under development (order book) is close to about USD 4 billion.
