Taj Hotels ties up with Switzerland based Glion Institute

Taj Hotels, the flagship hospitality arm of Indian Hotels promoted by Tata Group, has tied up with Switzerland based Glion Institute of Higher Education for providing online MBA programme to employees of the Taj Group.

Taj Hotels, the flagship hospitality arm of Indian Hotels promoted by Tata Group, has tied up with Switzerland based Glion Institute of Higher Education for providing online MBA programme to employees of the Taj Group.

As per the partnership, Glion will train 25 managers of the hospitality group under this online programme per year. "New trends in the hospitality industry, such as changes in customer preferences, demographics, and a need to redefine luxury, reflect the need to develop evolving professional managers. Given this scenario and our growth plans, successful HR development is a key strategy for the Taj. The Taj and Glion partnership is yet another step in this direction," Rustom Vesavevala, Vice-president of Development and Learning with Taj told reporters here. The Glion Institute, which provides management-focused programmes for the hospitality and other service industries, is also in talks with other hospitality groups in India to offer such educational services, Anouk Tenten, Partnership Manager with Glion Institute of Higher Education said.
