Indian Hotels Co, part of the Tata conglomerate, is planning to add 1,200 rooms in FY 13, a top company official said today.
"We want to add 1200 rooms by FY13. Out of this, 50% will be through management contract," managing director and chief executive officer of the company Raymond Bickson told reporters on the sidelines of an event.
Indian Hotels, which runs the Taj chain of hotels and resorts, reported a 65% growth in occupancy during the January-March period this year, he said adding the company also increased its rent by 5-10% during the period.
